Sampdoria slides up to the top of the Serie A after beating Italian Champions Inter Milan, thanks to a goal in the 72nd minute by Giampaolo Pazzini. What helped the goal was an error by Inter Milan's young Italian Davide Santon, slipping in his own box allowing Mannini to cross the ball in for an unmarked Pazzini to score the goal, was a terrible mistake that gave Sampdoria the victory. Mourinho comments on Santon's mistake,

"Santon made a mistake, but any player can make a mistake," Mourinho said. "Never in my career have I had a player who hasn't made a mistake.
"But it means we've dropped three points. They go top with 15, we're in second with 13."
Inter Milan had a goal that was ruled offside, quaresma's shot which was deflected by Lucio, ended in the back of the net, but was disallowed. And in the final minutes, from 25 yards away Lucio fires a ball into the bottom corner, but Castellazzi is able to palm it away giving Sampdoria an important win.
