Major European Leagues Wrap Up: Inter Milan, Manchester United, and Barcelona All First

Lots of big matches this weekend, especially in Seria A, while in England, Blackburn claims the East Lancashire derby against Burnley, and in Spain, Barca stay top even with a draw, while Raul breaks all records with his 711th match for Real Madrid in which he scored a brace.

In Italy, italian champions Inter Milan show their power in a 5-0 away victory over one of the toughest teams around, Genoa, last year Genoa tried to break into a Champions League spot with great playing, and this year the goal seems to be the European trophy, but Inter went in to win and came out with five goals by Cambiasso, Balotelli, Stankovic, Vieira, and Maicon, Stankovic scoring an amazing goal from a volley off of Amelia's bad clearance. Much awaited match between Juventus and Fiorentina ended 1-1 with a sensational first half by Jovetic and Vargas, the two working together to eventually have Jovetic provide a fantastic through ball to the Peruvian who sublimely chips it over Buffon, Juventus equalized with Amauri, scoring off of a failed attempt by Iaquinta. AC Milan succesfully get past Roma in a 2-1 comeback with Ronaldinho and Pato having a great second half. Menez starts off the scoring with an assist by AC Milan Center-half Thiago Silva, in the second half, a reborn Milan takes down a weakened Roma side, Ronaldinho scores a penalty and then turns around three Roma midfielders to then provide a wonderful pass to Pato who gets around Doni to deposit the ball into the back of the net completing the epic comeback.

In England, Manchester United are top of the league, with a victory over Bolton Wanderers in which Zat Knight helps out with an own goal. Aston Villa are able to beat Chelsea 2-1, and Ancelotti asks more concentration from his players while Liverpool lose 1-0 to Sunderland because of a notable deflection on Bents shot off a balloon, causing a very controversial victory. Blackburn claim the East Lancashire derby over Burnley in a 3-2 game in which in the first 21 minutes, three goals were scored. Portsmouth against Tottenham was an interesting match, many ex players, most of them being on Tottenham's squad, 2-1 with Defoe scoring and then getting sent off along with Brown.

In Spain, Barcelona are held to a draw by Valencia, but the Spanish Champions are still first nonetheless, Iniesta commented to all the media hype about the Catalan's first loss,

"Everyone seems to think that Barcelona must win every game. The draw against Valencia is a good result and we must keep in mind we are still in first place - and that's what matters"

Real Madrid instead gets easily past Real Valladolid with a brace coming from Raul, 711 appearances for him with Los Blancos, no doubt there will be many more. Villareal instead continue their terrible form after Pellegrini left, losing 2-1 from newly promoted Deportivo Xerez will not help the club, and on a worse hand, Atletico Madrid lose 3-0 to Osasuna, showing that attacking skill is not everything, and that you need a couple of defenders.
